Rohtas Fort

 Rohtas Fort is a historic fort garrison near the city of Jhelum in Punjab , Pakistan. It was built under the Afghan king Sher Shah Suri, to submit the rebellious tribes of the northern Punjab region in the 16th century.



Rohtas Fort is one of the most impressive historic monuments representing the Pathan period. It took eight years to build the fort, he was captured by Mughal Emperor Humayun in 1555.



Its one of most important historical site of Pakistan.
